Plot Summary

“Sky Force” is a gripping action-drama rooted in the true events of India’s first airstrike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. The narrative unfolds through the eyes of Group Captain K. O. Ahuja (Akshay Kumar), who, in 1971, interrogates a captured Pakistani pilot, Ahmed. This interrogation gradually unravels the heroic and untold story of Squadron Leader T. K. Vijaya, codenamed ‘Tabby’ (Veer Pahariya). In 1965, Ahuja and Tabby undertake a perilous reconnaissance mission, discovering significant Pakistani military buildup. Despite Ahuja’s plea for a pre-emptive strike being dismissed due to diplomatic concerns, Pakistan launches a devastating surprise night attack on an Indian airbase. In retaliation, the Indian government authorizes a daring counterattack. The mission is successful, but Tabby goes missing, officially labeled a rebel for a supposed breach of orders. Years later, haunted by his promise to Tabby’s wife, Ahuja, now retired, receives new evidence that allows him to reopen the case. As he seeks the truth, he uncovers a complex web of events, revealing Tabby’s extraordinary bravery in single-handedly evading superior enemy jets and saving the mission, ultimately fighting to ensure his valor is recognized by the nation.
